The simplest definition of keyword research is

three major steps:

|
After
the initial research is complete, a meeting with
the client is arranged to deliver analysis results,
discuss the search engine-marketing plan, set
goals and determine specific keywords that are

Site Optimization |
|
At this point we begin to work directly
to optimize the content on the web site by identifying
the pages, which need to be modified and writing
the optimized content (If needed).
Site optimization can take anywhere from 15 to
20 business days depending on your site and any

Delivery of Optimized Site |
|
The
technical work being complete, we are ready to
deliver the optimized content (Compiled Tags)
to get it uploaded on to the server. Now the site
is ready to be submitted to the search engines. |

Site Submission |
|
The

process begins. A web technician assigned to your
account will hand-submit your site to the major

algorithms, pages get dropped from the search

Index monitoring
Index
monitoring is an ongoing and daily process to
keep track of the positions you have achieved
on various engines on specific keywords. This
is a very important part as in search engine
change their placement algorithm quiet often
and there will be many of the clients competitors
want to get on top of the engines. By constantly
monitoring we can identify the pages or sections
of the sites, which are getting dropped from
the index or getting slipped from a particular
position. This way we can outline the necessary
strategy for the said site to remain on a position,
which we gained through setup process.
And
one other reason why we should constantly monitor
the site placement on engine is because many
of the webmasters don’t take the SEO process
as a serious and a complex exercise. By this
in many cases while updating the sites they
might miss out the tags or the suggestions we
gave them during the initial setup process.

Resubmission of dropped or slipped pages, if

this phase we should identify the reason why
a particular page is dropped, is it because

and resubmit the dropped or slipped pages which
proper corrections.

Maintaining the Link Popularity
Since
most of the search engines have moved to Theme
based Relevancy scoring algorithm, the Link
popularity of a site plays a major role in Search
engine positioning. We should maintain the link
popularity of a site by a minimum of 5/10. And
this value might drop sometime, so we have to
constantly monitor and do the necessary things
to get the LPP on a satisfactory value (always
higher than 5)

and your current search engine rankings,

Research your industry prospecting the top
portals and web sites with the greatest
market relevance,

the exact look and feel of your existing
web site with links to all quality prospects,

Implement a campaign to personally contact

4.
Monthly keyword Position report generation
In
this phase we have to generate the keyword position
report of the targeted keywords in major engines.
The keywords and the engines will be same, as
on the Pre positioning report we have given
to the client b4 we have started the project.
Apart from the Targeted words there will be
many more associated keywords or phrases also
might have come up on the engines. We can take
a report of the associated phrases too and can
be sent to the client as additional phrases
we have achieved. This report generation has
to be done manually as in many search engines
and directories don’t allow any third
party software to get into their database. So
the result you will be getting from an automated
query might be different from the result you
are getting through a manual query. So always
make the Report manually. |
